Vehicles in Germany's Town Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Police
Officers stated they were notified by a resident who found a automobile in Hanau marked with red-colored substance

Roughly fifty vehicles have been marked with what seems to be blood from a person in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Cars, walls and postboxes were marked, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Police report they were alerted late on Wednesday, when a resident noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued fluid.

The liquid had been drawn in the form of a swastika, they stated.

Officers then found many other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Swastikas are banned in Germany under laws prohibiting the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials state preliminary tests indicate the fluid was probably human bodily fluid.

"Currently there is no indication as to its origin; officials are not yet aware of any injuries in relation with the incident," they commented.

Municipal representatives stated they were attempting "to solve the incident" and have requested to the community for details.

A senior official said the vandalism made him stunned and required to be resolved rapidly.

"This act affects the core of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the far-right attack in 2020," he stated on a platform, recalling the killing of nine individuals by a assailant focusing on people of migrant background in five years prior.
